Alex Dunbar

Alex is the managing Director of Dunbar Insurance and carries on a strong family tradition in the Insurance Industry, with his father and now fellow colleague Peter Dunbar having owned and ran a very successful brokerage for over 25 years. Alex likes to think outside the square and regularly assists client’s with the placement of difficult risks after being advised by Insurer’s or the new client the cover required isn’t available in the market.

Alex had the good fortune of working on the insurance programs and day to day running of some of Australia’s largest construction, mining and mining service providers. This exposed him to a number of technical, uncommon insurance policies and placement methods which are now utilised to great advantage in the way he operates and conducts Dunbar Insurance. Enabling our client’s to have comfort in the knowledge they are very well supported with the Insurance needs and able to focus more on other areas of their business more diligently.

Alex is extremely passionate about providing an honest and dedicated service to his client’s. This was highlighted when he was a finalist in the Rockingham & Kwinana Chamber of Commerce Young Business Person of the year and Dunbar Insurance was also a finalist for the Business / Employer of the year for 2018.

Alex has a strong belief in giving back and supporting the community where possible and has had previous unpaid roles as a committee member for the Rockingham & Kwinana Chamber of Commerce, The Christ Church Grammar School Old Boys association, Life Guard at the Secret Harbour SLSC and throughout the year helps with food collection and delivery to various community organisations that provide food for the homeless.

Alex likes to live a very social life and when not at work Alex will be out with friends or family, on the water wake boarding or hanging out with his two dogs Louis and Polli who is also the inspiration for our company logo.

Peter Dunbar

Senior Insurance Broker

Peter Dunbar who is without doubt the regions most distinguished and experienced Insurance Broker has recently joined the Dunbar Insurance Team as a Senior Broker and Technical Specialist. Peter is a well-known identity in the local community who has over 30 years of experience servicing the insurance needs of local businesses. Peter has a strong sense of community having worked in a number of unpaid community roles such as serving as the President of the Secret Harbour SLSC, coaching local football teams via the Rockingham Rams and most recently continues to work with Vinnies WA one day each week as a volunteer to assist people in need. Peter is keen to put his knowledge and skill set to the front and provide you a service that we are sure you will enjoy.
Peter is a well-known identity in the local community who has over 30 years of experience servicing the insurance needs of local businesses.

After a year of travelling and family pursuits, Alison re-joined the industry as a member of the Rockingham Insurance Brokers team. Here, Alison realised her potential working in many and varying roles including Domestic, Retail and Commercial Sales and Processing. However, her real passion developed through Claims Management gathering a wealth of experience and knowledge in this highly specialised area over the next 15 years.
Joining Alex in the newly established Dunbar Insurance team, Alison is revelling in her new role as both our Operations and Claims Manager becoming once again intricately involved in all aspects of our ever-expanding business.

When not achieving great results for our clients, Alison is an avid lover of travelling to new and exciting locations, enjoying the down time with family and friends, and tending her glorious gardens.

Liz Stone

Liz has recently joined our team in a General Clerical and Administration role. While Liz is new to the Insurance Industry, she is eager to learn and develop her skill set as widely as possible in order to further assist our clients.
Liz’s background as an Owner/Operator of her own Fitness and Gym Businesses gives her prior base knowledge in various aspects of running a small business. She is still also working in the fitness Industry as a Trainer and Instructor.

A love of all things’ family, friends and fitness keeps Liz enjoying her time away from the office.
